Heat
Add information about the heat consumed by your installation during the specified reporting period. Only measurable heat should be considered, i.e., heat that is transported through a heat medium such as steam, hot water, liquid salts, etc., and where its flow rate can be measured in pipes, ducts, or similar conduits.
A certain amount of emissions will be attributed to the consumed heat. If the heat is consumed by multiple production processes, you need to monitor the relevant heat streams in order to attribute the correct quantities and heat-related emissions to each production process.
The emissions associated with your heat consumption (whether you produce it at your installation or consume it from an external source) will contribute to your direct (Scope 1) emissions.
You can find instructions about self-generated heat in the Self-generated Heat and Electricity section.
Right-click on External Inputs > Heat
Enter the quantity of Heat purchased
Enter the Emission Factor shared by your heat supplier
You will need to request this data from your heat supplier, who, in turn, must measure the emissions of the heat following the EU CBAM rules.
