Production subprocesses allow you to visually represent [subprocesses](docId\:D2ZsuoqnHQioQFUE5YQPU) taking place at your factory or [outsourced subprocesses](docId\:cILHST8welYIbHdnuN7hu) and attribute specific emissions to them. 

For example, if you want to show that certain goods in a production process undergo coating as a subprocess, you can represent this using the production subprocess. You will be able to attribute inputs specifically to the subprocess, ensuring that the additional emissions are attributed only to the portion of goods subject to coating.

## Add a Production Subprocess

Enter the quantity of the produced CBAM goods that you want to send from the **Production Process** to the **Production Subprocess**

The system will display the quantity you have already attributed and the remaining quantity available for attribution. You won't be able to attribute more than the remaining quantity. If you attempt to do so, an error message will appear.
